We create personalised, stunning looks that reflect each client's unique personality and flair. We work with the best brands in the industry: Wella, Nioxin, Sebastian, System Professional, and ghd. We stay at the top of our game through regular training, ensuring we know the latest trends and have access to the latest tools. I have great pride in my team who embody this ethos. We are a green and sustainable salon that provides an exceptional service, often for clients that have been with us for years. So where does ARQ come from? It all started with my mother’s salon in 1992. More than three decades later, ARQ is home to a team of colour experts with numerous accolades. In 2024, we relocated and rebranded as ARQ Hair — carrying the legacy forward while looking to the future. I spent my childhood in my mother's salon but I also had a passion for dancing. After years in the Arts as a professional dancer, I hung up my dancing shoes in 2014 to join my mother, Anna, at her salon on Fulham Palace Road. Anna's Hair Salon was founded in 1992 and grew from strength to strength, with a warm and welcoming environment that became a hub for so many families in Fulham. She did this whilst raising my sister and I alone. In 2017 we sadly lost Anna to cancer, but she left behind a lasting legacy which I have been proud to continue. In 2020 I became a Wella Master Color Expert, joining a very small group of elite colour experts across the UK, and in 2021 we joined the Green Salon Collective, recycling everything, right down to the hair! In 2024 with our lease up and the landlord intending to convert the site to residential we sadly had to close Anna's Hair Salon, bringing to an end 33 years of hair excellence. A personally very difficult time, having grown up in the Salon, I took the decision to rebrand to ARQ Hair, relocate to Fulham Road, and look to the future. ARQ honours our legacy, it stands for Anna, Ricardo, Quintino. Anna for my mum who set me on the path into hair, Ricardo to reflect I have picked up the baton from my mum, and Quintino - my mum's maiden name and that of my Grandfather who has offered so much support to us both.
